Wendy and her Pups
Why I began this journey...
I have always been driven towards a career throughout my life that allowed me to share my genuine compassion for helping others. As a previous Bank Manager for many years, I always said that the best part of my day was when I was able to fulfill a need for someone else…that was my “ goose bump moment” and equally left me feeling fulfilled! My empathy and consideration for others is what lead me to start a business that I am able to give back in a way that I can add comfort and contribute to the quality of family’s lives.
Also through my own personal journey with my parents, it became apparent what my purpose was….to lessen the burden and stress of others who are caring for their loved one and to give them the gift of time of making every moment count that they are given to spend with them. When my mother was diagnosed with dementia, I found myself struggling with the wanting to spend every possible moment I could with her and at the same time, I was also the one to take care of the day to day errands such as grocery shopping, picking up her prescriptions and whatever other daily task had to be done. It quickly became very overwhelming and at that point it became clear to me that I had to get support as all that was important to me was to simply spend quality time with her.
That is why “Wendy’s Errands for Elders” was created….for the purpose of supporting families in similar circumstances and to provide a peace of mind that someone trustworthy and dependable is taking care of their needs and that we are an extension of your family.
“We care and we want to help”
