Many caregivers have families and careers to manage and often feel their parents or loved one isn’t receiving the level of attention or care they would like. We are here to support and help so you can maintain a work/life balance and feel good about your choices.
After working in the banking industry for over 35 years,I started this company because I also personally had to deal with my parents needs as they aged. Through this journey, I recognized I could not provide the full-time care-giving they required and maintain balance and self-care within my life at the same time.
Wendy’s Errands for Elders is a company that provides families and their aging parents with compassion care and the daily services required to live independently. Our parents or loved ones require support that can allow them to live safely, with dignity and comfort regardless of where they live.
Every family’s needs are different and together you and I customize a family plan that works with the entire family. Our philosophy is that we are an extension of your family and we will always treat your loved one as if they were our family.
Direct billing available to Alberta Blue Cross. We are an approved service provider for the Client Directed Home Care Program.

We are the "sandwich generation" and “clubhouse generation”… many caring for both children, grandchildren and aging parents. There are challenges on both ends, however, as our parents get older, the demands increase.
Aging in place is becoming the new norm in many communities, and our loved ones require attention, additional assistance, and at times, more than the family is able to provide.

We have clients who holiday or work outside Canada on a regular basis. From paperwork and organization to companionship, we provide you with detailed reports so you know your parents are in the best care possible while you are away. You decide the level of care and what you need and together we create a plan that works for everyone. Maintaining your parent’s quality of life is foundational. We want to see everyone thrive and reduce the stress and free up your time so you can do what is important to you. We are here for your Peace of Mind!

Meal Preparation
Proper nutrition and regular meals is essential to both physical and mental well-being. Many seniors fall into the habit of eating the exact same foods for every meal, which can result in nutritional deficiencies. We can prepare some of your loved one’s favorite meals both with them or for them to ensure they are continuing to eat some of their favorite dishes.
Companionship
Companionship is a basic human need and establishes a sense of belonging. Having a companion in life, whether they are a relative, friend or carer, helps keep the mind active and prevent social isolation, maintain social skills and increase sense of purpose.
When you need someone to be there, call us. We can schedule regular days and times to sit with your parents/loved one so they have someone to be there when you can’t be.

Pet Services
Taking your pet to the vet or groomer or for a walk? We are happy to help as we know your fur babies are an important part of your life and family and understand the importance of maintaining good health through regular exercise and checkups.
Customized Services
If you have special needs, and a service you would like that is not listed, give Wendy a call. She has community resources at her finger tips and will be able to refer someone to meet your needs.
Home Organization/Downsizing
Maintaining a clutter free environment is essential for safety and cleanliness reasons. An organized environment is also beneficial for mental health. We are more than happy to assist in creating that clutter free environment with you.

House Checks
Are you or your parents going on a holiday? Do you need someone to care for things while you are away? Good for you, you're taking a break. You won't have to worry about your home, we will be there.
LOYALTY PROGRAM
We offer prepaid hours for all of our service offerings and clients can save anywhere from 5% to 10% off our regular rate, depending on the amount of hours purchased.
All hours in an individual package must be used within the month purchased. Sorry, no carry overs allowed. So, let's chat about what you need during the month, and we will cater the package around your needs.
